Paper Summary:
This paper argues that even with the efforts being made in modern society by Clinton and others, racial discrimination is a very real entity in our present day society. The paper also shows the history of racial discrimination.
From the Paper:
"Even though slavery was abolished in the United States over a century ago, it seems that African-Americans are still fighting an uphill battle against racial discrimination. President Clinton has appointed an advisory board on race relations who he has instructed to promote a better understanding between races and ethnic groups and to foster racial harmony. Some of the issues that are expected to be addressed by the advisory board are housing discrimination and the challenge of changing racial attitudes, beliefs, and emotions of European-Americans, or white people.
