Environmental law has come a long way in cleaning up the mess created by man-made pollution. The paper examines both the Clean Air Act of 1963 and the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 set out to rectify the insurmountable degradation overtaking the air, water and soil supplies. It shows that with their continued efforts, ongoing improvements will serve to further the purpose these two acts were established for in the first place.
