# 44701
Premenstrual Syndrome
A debate on whether premenstrual syndrome can be considered more of a psychological problem than a physical one.
2,900 words (approx. 11.6 pages) | 12 sources | 2002 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper discusses the problem of premenstrual syndrome, a condition that 40 percent of American women encounter a week or two before their menstrual cycle begins. While many people are of the view that PMS could be a real medical condition, psychologists maintain that PMS could only be a convenient term being used to associate with negative feelings that some women experience as hormonal level in their body changes. But the problem itself is a psychological condition, which triggers deep-rooted depression, and underlying stress as production of estrogen decreases and a woman suddenly starts feeling incapable to handle day-to-day problems at work and home.
