In discussing these relevant points, Jean Watson's theory of human caring is particularly important, as it designates nursing as a field that is designed to provide care and support for improving well being and contentment (McCance, McKenna, & Boore, 1999). The following discussion will evaluate a specific situation in nursing to which the Watson theory applies, paying particular attention to the relevancy of human care capabilities in promoting healthy outcomes for patients in distress."
