"Proper maintenance of the pool is a health issue, an aesthetic issue, and an economic issue. When a pool is properly maintained, it promotes health, presents a pleasing appearance, and saves money. A poorly maintained pool is often associated with the spreading of various diseases. A major factor in preventing outbreaks of illnesses at pools is adequate disinfection, and also important are proper filtration and chemically balanced water.
