"The Police are a fraternity whose members are bound together by the difficulties, dangers and challenges of their job as enforcers of the law and protectors of the citizenry. It is arguably one of the more high-risk jobs, as one misjudgment in the pursuit of a criminal can produce serious injury or death. Solidarity and loyalty are essential to survival" (Vitalis)."
