An examination of a study by Horowitz, Bell, Tryhulski, Munro, Moser, Harts, McCordic, and Sokol, whose purpose is to test whether interactive coaching could increase responsiveness between infant and a mother with depressive symptoms. A literature review is also provided.
From the Paper:
"Search of the literature found that Post-Partum Depression (PPD) occurred, in some studies, in from 10% - 14%, but that in some studies, up to 60% showed some symptoms of it (PPDS). The statement was written in such a way that this might have meant only one symptom, such as fatigue that might not really have any relationship to depression, as most new mothers are short on sleep and would feel fatigued sometimes."
