"The reports of corporate rationalization, production reformulation, and the enhanced application of temporary workers has resulted in many question employers assurance to long term, stable employment relationships. The supervisors must take the liability for their own employee retention. It they do not they could be left without sufficient good employees. A shrewd employer will understand as to how to allure and maintain good employees, since in the long run; this workforce will entail or break the reputation of the company. In that case what is the difference? The new supervisors are required to be collaborative, supportive and nurturing of their people. The conventional style of 'my-way-or-the-highway' style of management is a thing of the past. Most new supervisors require training to be aware of what it actually entails to retain employees. Employee retention is associated with being sensitive to the requirement of people and demonstrating the different strategies in the five families detailed in Roger Herman's classic book on employee retention, attaching Good People namely - Environmental, Relationship, Support, Growth and Compensation. Employee retention involves effort, energy and resources and the output is worth it."
