From the Paper:

"The project teams operating in organizations that worked along the conventional lines were independent with their own authority and responsibility. Communication between the teams was periodical and was done through lengthy meetings or project progress reports. Today, there is a major reliance towards connectivity and communication throughout the day, where the interdependent project teams can interact. The latest real time collaborative software enables the physically separate project teams to link spread sheets, input sources and make the results known to everyone who is connected."
