Organization theory and structure have gained tremendous attention in the past two decades as world changes forced management gurus to find out what kind of organizational structure was required to extract maximum productivity. Social, political and cultural changes have contributed towards formulation of better organizational theories. While each theory claimed to possess a new meaning, they were all based on similar ideas and thus twenty years hence, they would all come to be labeled as postmodern or post-industrial organizational theories.
