The following discussion evaluates the various barriers to communication that exist throughout organizations. It is estimated that such challenges as culture, language, and group dynamics all serve as barriers to communication in organizations both large and small. Overcoming these challenges are some of the most difficult actions that organizations must endure.

"In any organizational environment, there are often a number of dynamics that must cooperatively exist in order to achieve success. It is expected that members of these organizations must actively work together to satisfy all desired objectives, and that one key component of this strategy is to actively communicate matters of importance on a regular basis. Although this seems like a relatively simple process, it is very difficult to accomplish, particularly in organizations where there are a wide variety of different personalities, each possessing unique characteristics. With these unique circumstances, it is problematical to maintain open lines of communication at all times. However, the complexities of this process are too difficult to ignore, and therefore, communication is one of the most multifaceted situations that organizations face day in and day out. The following discussion will evaluate barriers to communication in greater detail, emphasizing the importance of personalities."
