Many people living in nursing homes are going through the shadow of death as pain and disease hurt their bodies, but they continue with their faith knowing that God is with them and will be with them until the end. The faith of the poor is the knowledge that God is real and that He is walking beside them or carrying them at times when they need Him the most. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," (Genesis 1:1 NIV). God is the creator of the world.
