As a result, the world has changed and been challenged creating global interdependence and a worldwide economy. Anthropologists have attempted to examine and understand globalization and its affects on culture, societies, and individuals, however, there is much disagreement in the social sciences community as to the homogeneity and fragmentation that may result. What all agree on is that both the United States and Mexico have been impacted by NAFTA that have created transformations in both countries. "
