Paper Summary:
This research paper reports on the changes that have taken place in Iran under Islamic rule since the Islamic revolution of 1979.
From the Paper:
"For several thousand years, the land of Persia has been an important nation that has contributed rich culture and traditions to the Middle East throughout history. It is also a land that is constantly changing. One of the most significant changes has been the dethronement of the Pahlevi dynasty that had controlled the Persian government since 1925 by the Islamic Shiite leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.[1] It can be argued that the changes from the Shah's regime to Iran under the power of the Islamic leaders has had a great impact on the economy, the rights of the people, religion, and politics.
