The paper states that Mintzberg?s ten managerial roles are divided into three sections, namely, the interpersonal, informational, and decisional. "Under the informational aspect of the roles, the manager is responsible for acting as the figurehead, leader and liaison. The purpose of the figurehead is to perform the symbolic duties of the organization. These duties include welcoming visitors and signing legal documents. (Mintzberg's 10 Managerial Roles 2003) As a leader the manager must train employees, direct subordinates, and provide counseling for employees. In the role of the liaison the manager must ensure that the lines of communication are flowing freely throughout the organization. (Mintzberg's 10 Managerial Roles 2003)"
