This research paper was written to help the layman to better understand the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) personality test. When it was determined that the test could be used for other purposes, besides clinical use, it was decided to give these clinical scales classification numbers instead of the psycho- analytical names previously used.
