To give a reader an idea of the magnitude of such a layoff, this comprises five percent of the overall staff and total work force of the company. (Treaster, 2004) Poor profits and poor stock performance were cited as reasons-all the result of a continuing investigation into the company's dodgy legers and questionable business ethics. The company has undergone a change of recent leadership since the scandal, but can the company continue to keep employee morale, motivation, and job performance high, at an acceptable industry standard?"
