Virgil's 'Aeneid', the classic telling of the founding of Rome by the Trojan prince Aeneas, is a great human drama that revolves, in large measure, around the choices human beings make - either by themselves or with the prodding of the Gods. This paper, in perhaps an unconventional departure, will focus upon the choices made by Priam in the final hours of his kingdom. Specifically, this paper will focus upon two choices made by the Trojan king that sealed his fate - and the fate of his city."
