"A phase diagram was constructed for an acetone - cyclohexane system. The phase diagram was constructed from the simple distillation of acetone and cyclohexane. Samples were taken of the liquid phase and vapour phase of both components. The refractive index was then determined for each sample. The data from the refractive index then allowed for the construction of the phase diagram. As determined from the phase diagram the boiling point of the azeotrope was 53oC and the percent mole composition of the azeotrope was 67.0 + 2.0% acetone and 33.0 + 2.0% cyclohexane."More papers on Liquid-Vapour Equilibrium of Acetone and Cyclohexane:
