Following life-cycle assessments for paper bags and plastic bags, the two products are compared, with the emphasis placed on the full costs of the products for the manufacturing company. These stressors, in turn, have an impact on the ecology, human and other animal welfare, and resource conservation. The magnitude of releases into the air, water, and land are not enormous; however, the are nevertheless substantial."
