This paper will discuss the political and social aspects of Nicaragua that concern Leptospirosis- a form of tuberculosis- and how this country dealt with an outbreak five years ago. It will seek to convey the problems of the disease in this country and to make an evaluation on how this country gets aid-perhaps from the United States or other United Nations affiliates- in making it a safe place to live under the threat of this health problem.
