In contrast to an inward-focused manager, leaders who employ knowledge management strategies know how to tweak and modify their organization's strategies, in anticipation of changes in the environment. Knowledge management strategies thus help a leader develop his or her adaptive abilities. An adaptive leader can pull out of market situations before their companies take a loss.
