"There are several ways that language can be increased in young children, using particular teaching strategies. Some of these are as follows. Diagnostic-prescriptive approaches, including the process or ability model and the task analysis model; performance-oriented approaches, including imitating and modeling of correct communication behaviours; interpersonal-interactive approaches; syntax-based programs, including the Language Assessment, Remediation and Screening Procedures (LARSP), the Fokes Sentence Builder and the Sound Order Sense (SOS); delayed language programs; and the Mand-Model Procedure. (Winzer, 1999) "
