"Everyone has heard the expression that history repeats itself. In some cases, this statement is true. There have been many cases of hysteria throughout history that resemble each other. Once example of this is the Salem Witch Trials, which occurred in the late 17th century, and the McCarthy Era, which occurred during the 1940's and 1950?s. These two hysterias were very different in the actual events that occurred, but are very similar in their analysis."
