Manuel Castells has referred to the traditional Chinese business organization of family firms or jiazuqiye and other in-group networks that are cross-sectoral (jiutanqiye) that may be controlled by one family. (2004:193) This paper addresses the role of Hong Kong's business networks, mentioned as an unitary force, as they can be little recognized contributors to the human rights movement in Hong Kong, and all matters of law to affect Hong Kong's future."
