Paper Summary:

This paper explains that, to create and sustain an enriching and empowering environment in these fast-paced times, the primary responsibility of a leader is to harmonize systems so that change can be implemented in a timely and effective manner. The organizations of the future will strive to harmonize their internal systems creating a powerful synergy that enables change. The author relates three actions, which generate such internal harmony: (1) integrating vision and culture, (2) attuning communication and company and (3) accommodating humans not machines. The paper stresses that the combination of these unifying elements will create an external force that will eliminate elementary competition and static organizations.

From the Paper:

"A layer exists where new rules and standards remain unwritten, a layer that transcends outdated thoughts and methods. Similar to the space between your fingers, this space is omnipresent and only those who understand today's survival of the fittest will be able to maneuver through this space to create change. Executives must continue to exude their unified mission and vision, strive to unearth and address assumptions, and empower external institutions to take new risks creating new alliances."
