"Globalization has created more global problems than solutions. First, it has failed to deliver the prosperity some thought it would create for the common man. Globalization could be referred to as old-time capitalism masquerading under a new name. Moller contended that after globalization, the global elite of business were those who created more wealth for an enterprise or for themselves by reducing wealth for a large numbers of others. The global elite moved jobs offshsore, or they downsized companies to getting more work from fewer employees. (Moller, 2004, 20) The obvious result, then, is a net gain for the global elite. The employees, on the other hand lost leisure time and were rewarded with greater stress, or they lost their jobs completely."
