Globalization

Paper Summary:

This paper explains that globalization refers to the rapid change in technological developments, which result in redefining the economic impact of worker skills, human capital, and distribution of income. The author points out that free-trade marketing, agricultural subsidies, the opening of borders for immigration, emigration for purposes of employment, and the need to comply with environmental policies are among the most pressing issues in dealing with the globalization and modernization. The paper relates that some people see globalization as an intensification of the consciousness of the world rather than as an intensification of economic, political, social, and cultural relations across borders.
