As a Naval Officer, what's more, I am accustomed to following the orders I'm given from superiors without fail and without exception. Organizationally, the Armed Forces are unlike any other institution in this respect. The command structure is unwaveringly hierarchical for a reason. In combat, individual lives depend upon unit cohesion and unit cohesion is maintained only when there is a readily identifiable chain-of-command."
