A personal view on whether two people of opposite sexes can really be friends.
Written in 2005; 1,248 words; 2 sources; MLA; $ 42.95
Paper Summary:
This paper puts forward the views of the author that friendships between the sex will never be possible until both sexes respect and understand one another. It also discusses his belief that current society encourages this to happen, and until it does, this type of friendship is impossible.
From the Paper:
"Granted society's opinion of women has gotten a whole lot better since the fifteen hundreds, but this social stigma still exists. Women are meant to grow up and be wives and mothers whereas men are meant to grow up to be astronauts and lawyers. Men are intended to be the more educated and philosophic and women are meant to be the nurturers. Independence in women isn't admired, it's questioned. Having opinions isn't encouraged. It's more important to be beautiful so that you can attract a man who'll marry you."
