"The purpose of this research is to examine the international forest products industry. After describing the various kinds of forest products, problems facing the industry will be discussed.
The forest products industry includes such products as lumber, paper, and corrugated boxes (Barrett, 1991, p. 44), but it also involves marketing products such as bark, honey, nuts, herbs, and berries. Other forest products include rubber and petroleum.
Countries that export forest products include the United States, Finland, Canada, Burma, Ecuador, and Brazil. Countries that import forest products include Japan and those of western Europe, and China.
