According to the Canadian Forest Industry council, forest product deliveries were evaluated at $14.9 billion in 1991. Forests Canada Estimated the annual contributions of wood products to Canada's trade balance at over $19 billion (Defour 188). Although the harvesting of trees can be used to aid in economic growth, forests also a source of other resources."
