This paper examines how feminism relates to the high rate of Black women who have contracted AIDS. It explains that it is evident that despite the cultural, social and economic factors which have contributed to making AIDS more prevalent in this demographic group, the relative absence of feminist attitudes among Black women appears to be one of the most important contributing factors.
