The intensity of competition has increased and the evolution of new and higher quality products and services, the aggression of pricing practices, and the increased number of acquisitions and mergers are the result. Today many forces drive the competitive business environment. These forces include globalization, innovated technology, changing channels of distribution, new business alignments, and changes in social values, attitudes, and lifestyles."
