"The nature of a man or woman is a complicated design of inter-working processes. We have a mind, body, and a soul, or spiritual nature which blends together as we mature to discover and identify a consistent belief system. These parts of a man are not arranged in a strict hierarchy. Research has shown that illness in a person's mind can affect the rest of their body. A person with cancer in their body will be often affected in their mind and soul. Similarly a person who holds to an ethical system which places them at odds with their own conscience and a sense of absolute right and wrong can often develop physical or mental maladies while their whole being attempts to work out the inner conflict. (Jones, 1922) The science of criminology and criminal psychology is based on tendencies among those who chose to pursue morally and ethically destructive behavior patterns. Their minds tend to work in unique ways that leave clues in order to "get caught" and thus have the assistance of an outer influence help them sort out the inner conflict."
