The paper examines how we need to have strong and developed ethical values in the face of a shift in demographics that has already begun. The paper quotes Chichin who mentions that in the United States, the most rapidly growing segment of the population consists of those people over the age of 85. This new population bulge is the exact opposite of the baby boom, even though it originates in it. Canada and other countries are beginning to experience the same new trend.
