This paper focuses on the question of how are perspectives on human-nature relations (including our own) influenced by their social, economic, political, cultural, historical, physiological and bio-geographical contexts? According to the paper, the nature of a society will dictate how people in that society relate to nature. For example, it is common for Western societies to have an anthropocentric approach to the world - in other words, the assumption is that nature has been created for the use of humans, who are at the centre of all.
