Paper Summary:

This paper begins with an explanation of what economic crime is, examining theories put forth on economic crime as well as the widespread effect that economic crimes have on society. It also takes a look at the role that technology has had in the evolving nature of economic crime and the special challenges that this form of criminal activity poses to law enforcement agencies.

From the Paper:

"Egalitarian America, our equal opportunity employer, provides a wide array of resources on the local and international level to produce a capitalistic striving economy for the contained institutional condition, social stability for the diverse population, legitimate means for the acquisition of wealth and the enticing glamour to comprise and utilize material wealth. Cultural ambition is the notion responsible for the acquisition of competitive striving amongst the "have and the have mores," and the increasing concern of crime throughout the nation from the product of failing to conform to its standards. I believe that not all individuals exist for the aspiration to acquire from another individual or from a significant institution but, crime at all levels may occur when material wealth succeeds its legitimate means and could be associated particularly as being American, fulfilling the American Dream."
