It was a very tense time in American history marked by suspicion, distrust, paranoia, and most importantly misunderstanding. In Stanley Kubrick's film, "Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb", he takes shots at all of these different attitudes toward the Cold War. Kubrick's mind developed a very different view of this time in American history, one of sarcasm and ridiculous characters, but his film will go down as one of the first of its kind."
