Do children get depressed? And if so, how would we know it, and measure it? And if they do, would this be different at different stages of childhood? Would it be different for girls and boys? These are the kinds of questions that have intrigued some researchers. However, the body of literature on the subject of depression in young people is by no means as large as the body pertaining to adult depression. Nevertheless, some research has been done.
