While some critics may argue that American schools are no longer segregated and thus there is no longer any racial issue to address, we must make it clear that education system in United States still favors the white culture so much so that African-American and other minority students are regularly subjected to rectification process that is meant to detach them from their own culture and make them more Americanized."
