"Music Studies: Understanding Intellectual Nationalism, the Enlightenment, and Turkish Music in the Compositions of Haydn and Mozart This musical study will analyze the precepts of the intellectual nationalism critical thought in regards to the music of Mozart and Haydn. Through a nineteenth century and twentieth century focus, the Enlightenment values of Mozart's music reflected a musical dynamic through the burgeoning rise of nation states. The cultural aspects of their music is perceived in a modern critical perspective that instills national identities to these composers, which, in turn, opens up the question of foreign influence on these composers."
