2,025 words (approx. 8.1 pages) | 9 sources | 2005 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper contains three different essays. The first essay argues that drugs should be legalized, the second essay deals with capital punishment and the third deals with the interdisciplinary integrated theory of crime. The paper points out that all three essays are approximately three pages a piece, with their own works cited section at the end.

From the Paper:

"There has been an ongoing debate raging for many years as to whether illegal drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines should be legalized. Proponents of drug legalization argue that it will cut down on crime, decrease prison overcrowding and save the government and taxpayers money that is spent on fighting the seemingly never ending drug war. Furthermore, at a personal level many argue that human beings should have the right to make a personal choice as to what they want to put into their own bodies and that the government has overstepped its bounds in making individual drug use illegal. There are some good reasons for the government to legalize drug use. The criminalization of "street" drugs comes at an enormous cost to the government and society."
