Paper Summary:
People who have been hospitalized in psychiatric hospitals have larger rates of eventual imprisonment than average citizens. The mental state of a criminal, however, is considered by the courts. There is a problem, however, in that medical professionals medicate someone too quickly that they label mentally ill. This phenomenon is inter-related with how society and the media stigmatize the disabled.
