"The Possibility of a Peaceful Resolution between the Kurds and the state of Turkey The relationship between the Kurds and the state of Turkey has been a source of conflict and bloodshed for over a century. This paper is an analysis of this relationship and the associated conflicts. Specifically, I will analyze the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the conflict. I will argue that recent political developments open up the opportunity for a peaceful solution. These developments include the USA's invasion of Iraq, and particularly the Turkish bid for EU membership."
