It appears to be quite certain that the concentration of financial wealth in Canada is leading to a concentration of political influence. One disturbing development in our democracy is that the political state is starting to be governed more by the market than by the sentiments of the voters - even though the market is supposed to be a representation of the peoples' preferences.
