This paper considers the rising cost of college tuition, the possible causes for the rise, and whether it is fair or unfair to pass these costs on to students.
From the Paper:
"Over the last decades, college tuition has been on the rise and it is time to ask ourselves, like Napoleon did, "Is it fair" Is it just?? College tuition represents a form of covering the costs derived from educating the students in a college. If we follow this point of view, the question we really have to ask ourselves is whether this rise in tuition fees is determined by a rise in costs and what the causes of such a possible rise are. The pros and cons of this thesis actually means deciding whether a rise in costs is determined by positive educational factors (like an increase in investment in fixed assets, like computers, books in the library, etc.) or because of negative factors (like an inefficient financial management of colleges)."
