Christian Ethics
A discussion of the topic of divine activity in Christian ethics.
827 words (approx. 3.3 pages) | 9 sources | MLA | 2006 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper points out that, although the subject of divine activity is referred to in Christian ethics, it is rarely analyzed at depth. The paper then goes on to give the reasons why this is so and explains that greater treatment of the subject is crucial for a better understanding of the present state of Christian ethics.

From the Paper:

"As Christians, there is a need to see the divinity of God. Humans can be viewed as agents of God and His activity. It is through these actions that the phenomena of psychic or metaphysical experience arise. In The Original Revolution, Yoder no longer talks merely about the possibility of miracle; instead God's people must be "dependent upon miracles for survival" and "Christian ethics calls for behavior which is impossible except by the miracles of the Holy Spirit.""
