"As already pointed out, market growth is accompanied by market fragmentation which causes competition. But competition in market growth is not as intense as it is in market maturity. The reason is that in the growth phase, almost every organization profits just because of the great demand, whereas in maturity, organizations struggle for their survival. Thus, the price of the product in market growth is not the decisive factor in competition. Marketing and product improvement, i.e. technology are the most significant factors. Consequently, products can be sold at relatively high prices because of the great demand."
