↶ Look Inside

Paper Summary:

This paper, written from the author's personal experience, explains an approach to teaching that incorporates a caring classroom environment and a dedication to the educational materials. The paper's author makes an argument, based on personal experience, that this type of learning environment promotes motivation to learn.

From the Paper:

"Research has consistently shown that promoting a caring classroom environment can promote the student's motivation to learn (Horsch, 2002; Rice, 2001; Freeman, 2000). After researching this topic, I discovered that there are many ways in which instructors can, and should, show care and support toward their students. By displaying a certain level of care within the classroom setting, we, as instructors, have the power not only to encourage the growth of our students, but also to encourage their motivation levels."
